Heres my take which I posted on a thread earlier...
I'd love to win the FA Cup, but i make Jรผrgen right, why implement a winter break only for it not to happen if you have FA cup replay? We got done over with the league cup too. The PL & CL are the priority. If the FA don't care about the fixture pile up why should we?
How many games did we play in December? It was actually that many I can't even remember. Although we came out the best part of winning all but the Carling cup tie it came with a price.. the squad was stretched because of our injuries. Milner doesn't pick up that injury against Everton if it wasn't for that heavy schedule.
The team has played non-stop & that break is for every other team. If Klopp wants to cool off for a week, let him. I don't get the fuss.
The primary aim is the PL and I know Klopp says he doesn't care about records but he wants this Liverpool side to go down as the best in history. Eclipse that 100 points total and maybe go unbeaten along the way.
There will be no better chance to do it.

Klopp is basically piiiiisssing on the Fa cup, throwing a hissy fit after being held by lowly Shrewsbury town.
Embarrassing. He should behave with more dignity.

Haven't seen a justified reason why klopp cannot play the kids tbh.
Soon as man u were allowed to boycott it the competition was screwed....and let's remember man u went out of the world club cup that year too without making the final. This is the same comp man u fans have laughed at pool fans for celebrating victory in.
If the winter break for the Pl is dependent on not getting replays, in a clearly inferior competition to the club and Pl, then the fa have to accept the outcome and the part they played in it.
If klopp decides to play the kids to give his squad a much needed break, which they deserve tbh, then the fa cannot do anything. If the kids play then it also makes sense for them to be managed by their manager.
People going mad are a bit cringe tbh. Fat bloke at AC harping on when Shrewsbury will make a mint from an field and increase their chances of going through. Win win.
As for rio getting involved...guys a moron. If u can win the Pl and cl, the fa cup just isn't a priority. Being able to blood youngsters/fringe players game time seems a smart move tbh.

Yep. We're the only team who entered seven competitions this season so it would be silly not to take advantage of a winter break.

If the FA thought it was a problem fielding a weak team they would have said something after the Everton game - but they couldn't as we went through.
Also Man Utd turning down the invite to the FA Cup pretty much heralded its downfall too.
If Shrewsbury get through v the kids they will have another money spinner to away to Chelsea.
Didnt think opposition fans would be so angry at LFC giving themselves a worse chance of going through...
Unless they actually want our top players to burn out and get injured. That couldn't be it, could it?
