That was my first final.

Lots of good memories from that season, especially the semi-final 2nd leg.

Old Trafford has rarely been as good since.

I doubt you will overturn a two goal deficit at City.

I did win over £600 on the 2010 League Cup final, betting £5 on Milner as first goalscorer and United winning 2-1 though. Only major money bet I've ever won (I don't gamble often). I had to go and coach cricket at a winter nets session at half time of that game and the second half was being played on the TV in the reception area of the sports hall. Kept popping out to check on the score and went mental at the final whistle.

In 1999 I was an estate agent with a couple of offices. Every year we and the solicitors I worked with took the staff out for a meal. You can guess which night he booked. It was at the French restaurant at the Midland. The only TV was in the kitchen where half the staff were watching, they let me go whenever I wanted. We had a couple of speeches, awards to give out, I was hopping from foot to foot. I and a bout 50 others were there for the denouement, we all went mental. I bought everybody champagne including the chefs.
