A learning experience for the Foxes

Clearly last night taught us some valuable lessons.

Some might say that Kasper could have done better for the goals. There may be a hint about our back line struggling when they are put under a high press and denied space to comfortably pass the ball sideways and backwards to ensure we win the possession stats. Not occasionally humping the ball forward to put some doubt in the opposing players minds as to how we will try and play.

People could point at Chilwell and Ricardo having an off game, N'didi still recovering from his knee injury so perhaps not back to his usual dominating best. Vards not available for the full game due to his Glute strain and not firing on all cylinders (why on earth were Stringer and Pipes prattling on about hamstring injuries by the way when it clearly wasn't, they were at the same game weren't they?). Our midfield not being effective. Wingers generally not producing (honourable exception being Barnes with his assist).

I don't see much criticism could be levelled at Ian.

Brendan out thought by Dean. Perhaps Leicester were outfought by a resurgent Villa (who should be fine as long as they can keep Grealish fit), maybe they wanted it more (looking perhaps to join the band of teams who have won a cup and managed relegation in the same year?).

No! Pshaw, poppycock and balderdash the lot of it! After careful consideration of all the pertinent circumstances I've come to the conclusion that it's all the fault of the club for the free scarves. Nothing wrong in that per se, very gratefully received an' all, but in the best Sir Alex tradition, we lost because they were dark grey. There cannot be any other explanation.

Only blue from now on please!

They wanted it more,we were poor over 2 legs, several players underperformed.
What worries me is did the West Ham result just paper over the cracks of our disappointing recent form?
Really hope this result does not set us back from what should be memorable season.
Please not Wycombe revisited.

Top post. Lols how people are actually debating anything other than the fact we should never, ever play in any colour other than blue or white ever again. M

Fact.

I think this is a very pessimistic assessment - and that’s coming from me!

We weren’t poor over both legs, we were by far the better team. Yes some players underperformed but you have to credit the park the bus and counter tactics from Dean Smith.

We’re a developing team that’s very young still - I was worried with back to back defeats, but this papering over the cracks West Ham nonsense is......well nonsense

I disagree. We were the much better side, created enough chances to win it over both legs. You can’t hope to batter teams every week, we’ve set high standards and had a bit of a wobble in the league. We don’t have the squad depth of teams around us - my biggest worth is the fact that the club appear not to be making moves in the window

I wrote this without the benefit of seeing the highlights, so perhaps a little unfair to our midfielders, as Tielemans was denied by a stunning save from Nyland, and Madders was denied by a brilliant save from Nakamba.

Clearly Mike Dean needs to go to the opticians for an upgrade on his contacts prescription as the latter happened right in front of him! Dare I ask what the purpose of VAR is if not to highlight to the onfield referee that maybe he got a decision wrong?

Not meant to be sour grapes and I wish Villa well in trying to stop the Man City domination of this competition, but I'm just genuinely puzzled by this one.
