The UK is the stepchild in Europe. Seriously. The only thing that makes you "European" is only via geography, but I bet if there was a mass vote across all of Europe, you'd be voted out.

Europeans have a pretty poor view of Britons, unless you're opening your wallet.

Many Americans like myself are delighted to see you separate from those ungrateful b'stards. A trade union is one thing, but trying to create a political union - including a single EU military - is nonsense.

No Briton should ever obey orders from a European.

Sorry, but the truth is that it is a special relationship. To say it isn't is pure garbage.

We are both under similar government.
Similar culture.
Similar language

Everyone in the world knows that if you feck with the UK or the US, we will have each other's back.

It's not "dribble" at all.
