One Month

What a difference a month makes.

This time one month ago we were picking up the pieces of another Rangers New Year Old Firm win. This time it put them in the driving seat with a game in hand to go a point clear at the top with a narrowly favourable goal difference. Rangers had been on a good run of form whilst Celtic stumbled through December with the early season fluidity turned to lethargy and staleness. Celtic struggling with injuries and reliant on a fit Eddy whilst Rangers have Morelos and Defoe scoring with a fit squad. Morelos was misunderstood, victimised and a victim of attempted murder.

Fast forward to today and we are 7 points clear with a better goal difference of 9 goals. Rangers still with a game in hand but their fluidity turned to lethargy and staleness whilst Celtic have Griffiths back amongst the goals and the midfield back to contributing. Defoe is injured and Morelos is an adulterer.

On the squad additions Celtic have signed two players to bolster the midfield and attack though the form of the squad has limited their time on the pitch. Rangers have signed Hibs third choice striker and a good players' son on loan.

Who knows what February will bring but midweek and weekend games right through alongside tough European games could have an impact on both squads.

14/15 games left of the season, plenty to play for. I suspect we'll have a good idea of how tight the season will finish in one months time.

Too many games to play yet so it’s far from over with the game in hand Rangers have against a truly awful St Johnstone side.

We of course have the upper hand and the head dictates we should win the league with a wee bit to spare. But yes, anything can happen. It can be a funny old game. Whilst the gap remains at 7 I’m happy.

Massive pressure on Rangers just to keep it there before we play them at Ibrox. And that’s before the game in hand. I fancy Rangers to drop more points before we do. No game is a gimme now with clubs fighting for top and bottom 6 and just survival.

Sage words.
I still feel that we are in a genuine title race and anyone who doesn't is a bit mental IMO.

But today gives me confidence. Celtic started with a strong team but it wasn't working out. Christie and Rogic came on and everything changed.

Tom Rogic on his game is an absolutely top class baller and Rangers basically have Andy Hallidaty. That's it.

Looking good.

But as I'm sure others have said nothing decided yet.

The only certainty of this season is that Celtic won the LC.

Was in some of your west end haunts on Friday night courtesy of silver. Pity you weren't in.
Had Claudia Schiffer with me. You'll probably hear about it.

Canny wait.

Never mind the Title Race.

It's not the first time I've been in a pub and it has closed for refurbishment the next day.

We drop points wed and it’s all to play for again. Huge game.

Still a third of a season to go, a lot can still happen.
14 games and 42 points up for grabs, both teams will drop points so the O.F games are crucial.
