2nd/3rd choice transfer options

After the chaos that occurred once we failed to sign Haaland - scrambling around on deadline day for a loan striker - do we have confidence that if we don’t get our first choice transfer options in the summer - widely reported to be Maddison and Sancho - we’ll have back up options that can be just as effective? Or will we see a desperate scramble for someone, anyone again? It’s often reported that managers will have a list of positions that they need to fill with a 1,2,3 of options for each position. I’m not so sure Solskjaer has this based on what happened with Haaland.

I’m assuming Grealish is the back up to Maddison, although at this stage I’d make him first choice.

Who’s the back up to Sancho? You’d have to think Traore is on the list somewhere.

Do we have a first choice striker in mind? If so, who? Werner? Who’s the back up there?

I don't think Ighalo was on the list. You can't usually get top strikers in Jan, so they had to improvise.

as much as I like ighalo, I hope this was the case

with that in mind , there really is no excuse for not landing a top attacker before the euros kick off

The euros could end up getting in the way of getting deals done. I think that's what happened last time.

Apparently you tracked 800 right backs before deciding on Wan Bissaka.

Your transfer business seems bizarre.

An 800 shortlist for a RB
1 for a Striker and then panicking to bring in Ighalo
Fernando over Grealish who is PL proven

Bizarre

804 actually. Get your facts right.

Also was never going to get Grealish in this window.

Ighalo signing is clearly a reaction to the Rashford injury... stop looking too deeply into it

No confidence at all, a lot wrong with our transfer shenanigans. With the money coming into the club , no reason why we shouldn't have also signed haaland and Stephen Bergwiin, in the last 2 windows , we were linked so heavily. The squads depleted and we have to make do with stop gaps who don't play well time and time again. I just think there's no money made available and we have to make do.

If were honest ighalo was a woeful signing. It just shows they panicked.
