Outstanding servant for us and one of my favourite players, but I think that’s Verts done as a top level player unfortunately he looked completely distraught when he was subbed. I don’t think he was angry he was taken off, I genuinely think he was upset that he’s realised he just can’t cut it anymore. He was on the bench deep in thought. I really felt sorry for him, but that’s Verts done for me.

I don't understand how he has declined so quickly. He was good last year. That Dortmund game he amazing.
He's never really had injuries, never relied on pace. I thought he would get better with age if anything. 32 isn't old for a CB these days.
So weird, but he does look completely done

He`s not PL level anymore, lost a yard of pace and today it looked like he has accepted it. Sad to see him deep in thought, he has been a great servant for Spurs and was a top drawer player. He can probably still do a great job at a slightly lower level, maybe back in Holland for a year or two.
I hope we have somebody top class lined up to replace him in the summer, because I don`t think Sanchez is the answer at LCB
