Edouard has taken on the mantle, the man that will drive us to the title.
Draws turn into wins with him on the field.
The first player to make such a fundamental impact since Henrik. Similar mentality, just makes it look easy.
Absolute Legend!
Like Larsson now

You don't think he's eclipsed guys that spent half a season with celtic?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im talking about how talented those guys were, and what sort of career they had ,not how long they spent at Celtic

Best since Larsson? Hmmm im not so sure?
dont forget we still had Sutton and Hartson after Henke left ,who were great players themselves.
Add to that players like JVOH,Samaras,Robbie Keane,Craig Bellamy ,Hooper,Griff and of course Dembele.
French Eddy is a brilliant talent and great to watch and he may well go on to eclipse some of those players? but its too early to tell IMHO

Naka!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Naka wasnt a striker, i thought we were talking strikers??

you surely need to judge them on Celtic though? Otherwise Roy Keane is miles above Callum McGregor which is ridiculous

who mentioned Roy Keane? were talking about Celtic strikers since Henke left are we not?Anyway Roy Keane came to Celtic to boost his pension ,he was finished by the time he came to us(still had Barry Ferguson in his pocket thought )guys like Robbie Keane and Craig Bellamy were still in their prime when they were at Celtic even if it was only for a wee while.

Because its still ridiculous to say that either Bellamy or Robbie Keane had the impact that Edouard has had even if they were still in their primes. I suppose you know Celtic more than me but I'd probably hold the guy that was key to winning stuff higher.

Once again I'm talking about the talented strikers that played for Celtic after Henke left ,whether they played for a long time or a short time is totally irrelevant .The assertion being made on this thread(and by Big Sutty) is that Eddy is the most talented striker to have played for us since Henke. My opinion is that im not quite sure he's there yet ,but may well get there.I really don't know why you have difficulty understanding that??

Time will tell timmy ,i do think Eddy is more exciting to watch though, his one obvious weakness for me though is his lack of ability in the air, especially for a big guy.It would be awesome to have the 2 of them together at Celtic right now though wouldn't it

Because I don't think either made a fundamental impact like edouard has as per the original post.

These comparative debates are interesting but kinda 'answerless'.
Especially when chronology kicks in.
Comparing Celtic 1968 to Arsenal 2020.
Or a retired player to one who is just starting out.
Having said that
Henrik's craft was jaw-droppingly specific.
Eddie's is a larger constituency, & obs only in its infancy.
By 2035 I suspect Eddie will have had overall more impact.
