Lessons learned?

Perhaps I'm missing something but it seems to me that Bielsa has one high intensity way to play, and a blue-print for a small squad of players who fit into his system, backed by a select few young players.

What has become apparent is that all of these considerations have contributed to where we finished last season, where we are now and where we seem to be headed again. Long term, "the project" ultimately failed last season yet we set off again doing exactly the same. There's still plenty of football to be played but the signs are there again that this will not end well.

I hope we can turn this around and that Bielsa finds his solutions before it's too late but if the fan base is depressed and frustrated with the last 2 months, I can't imagine what the mood is like amongst the owners, MB and the players. There's a part of me now that instinctively feels it would be a relief to cut loose of Bielsa and his methods. I can't help it even if I don't want it because so much has changed for the better.

However, we need a lift, we need experienced heads that we don't have and we need a plan B when A doesn't work. I'm tired of philosophical press conferences which are contradicted by the person delivering them 2 days later.

We concede goals we shouldn't and fail to score goals we should. Identify the weaknesses and make the necessary changes. What's so difficult about doing that? It doesn't guarantee to have the desired result but to carry on doing the same is irresponsible. If the players aren't there to effect those changes then that's down to bad recruitment which brings us back to Bielsa's squad blueprint.

Another bad day which is fast becoming the norm.

Tired of all of this now, not to mention gutted -again.

Albert Einstein said "insanity: is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Maybe that's why they call him "El Loco".

Got a few mates who are and have been involved with Leeds from Revie to the present day, had some good times 90 and 92 especially but always say to them this is the best club in the world and we are lucky only difference is I watch them and you played for them,

It certainly doesn't feel like it I'm afraid.

Suppose some of us are the lucky ones who were around during the three title wins. Night, off to bed to continue watching Full Metal Jacket.

I thought you'd have seen enough carnage for one night
