Lack of plan B

Not turning on Bielsa, who I still admire greatly...

However, is anyone else struggling to see how we will pull out of this slump?

Just feels that we all expect that:
-The same players (Klich, Harrison, Costa, Casilla etc) remain mainly un-droppable and un-subable
-The same type of style, still trying to pass the ball in the net will continue
-The same mistakes by the same players will be seen
-Bielsa blames himself after the match and protects the players

It just feels like a constant groundhog day.

I really hope Bielsa turns it around. He has been amazing for us but his whole spell at the club is determined on whether he can pull us out of this rut.

We are still second. All clubs have bad runs. But he needs to break away from whatever his usual process is and embrace a different method. The current one isn't working...And not even a wonder game like the Millwall win can change that.

What we need on the pitch is leadership and I don't see it. Cooper, Ayling, Pablo. These men lead the team and need to raise their heads. Phillips also owes us after his daft sending off. The players also need to step up.

You've pretty much described how I feel about it all.

Really like, rate and in many respects admire Bielsa for how he conducts himself and what he's done thus far. But I do wonder if he's stuck with a formula and is unable to deviate?

It's almost like the whole club, fanbase and anyone connected to the club need to take a big deep breath, blow out and reset themselves. I think there's a collective anxiety and as we lose it increases.

Jonty mentioned a sports psychologist on another thread …. I think there's a lot to be said for it - I think right now it's as much a mental issue as anything to do with tactics and formations.

The Leeds team that started last season (Stoke and Derby) would blow away any side in the division including ourselves.

For me the plan B is (and it’ll come);

Cutting out stupid individual errors

Luck

A little bit more luck

quite like the idea of no plan B, just ,make plan A better.

I actually think the loss of form is just that.. lots of fingers pointing here and there.. but I'm putting it down to being bottle jobs.. lets just hope we can find something within us and go the distance
