Pogba swap deal?

Probably a rubbish transfer rumour but apparently Juventus will offer £125 million as well as Rabiot and Ramsey for Pogba this summer.

Would people take that deal?

I doubt that much money would be offered but I do know that Juventus are keen to do swap deals as they were keen last summer to offer Mandy and Dybala plus cash for Lukaku. So it makes sense that to get Pogba (I feel Juventus is his likely destination) they would offer players.

Ramsey is a player I like but his fitness is an issue. Rabiot is also a very good player but there are questions about his attitude. When fit, I feel both would walk into our midfield and even if we did that deal but only got say, £100 million it could be a decent way to improve the squad while also getting a decent wedge for other positions that need fixing.

Also, Ole hasn’t actually bought his own DM which may possibly help things. The problem Jose has when wanting Maguire was that he’d already bought 2 CBs so the board felt he’d had enough.

Man United don’t have any quality defensive midfielders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No but we have 3 of them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have Matic, who may well be off in the summer. McTominay is a kid, and I don’t think Fred was born to play in a defensive double pivot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think he was born to play football, but there we are, £53m down and 3 years left on a contract.

If we can shift Matic, Pereira and Pogba and bring in 3 quality midfielders great, but we can't in one summer.

We haven’t been able to bring in three quality midfielders in one decade.

Matic, Pogba and Herrera are probably the top three over the last ten years. Scary that after those three, you’re looking at Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Fellaini.

Fred might surpass them all yet in terms of contributions though. Might

In fact, I think that’s it, isn’t it? Any more I’ve forgotten? Have we actually only signed seven centre mids in ten seasons?

That’s it I think. Go back another decade and it makes for grim reading. Carrick being the only notable cm of quality and consistency. We’ve been poor at signings midfielders for a long time now. Though Fergie didn’t actually sign a cm for six years,

SAF was a ridiculous WUM when it came to the midfield.

“Think I can’t win the title with John O’Shea and Darron Gibson in the centre of the park?...”

He put out some ridiculous lineups. Remember this?

Park and Berbatov both playing at centreback

Fergie used to play the most hilarious lineups in cup games and dead rubber CL games. Could have sworn he played a front three of Owen, Berba and Chicha in one game as well.

Do Juventus want to buy my car? I'd like to speak to whoever came up with that offer

Didn’t Rabiot only just go there? The fact PSG we’re happy to get rid, and Juventus are already happy to get rid should be enough for us to steer clear of him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They wernt happy to get rid, they offered him a huge contract to stay which he refused and then was dropped in the hope it would make him sign. they were the opposite of happy.
