Europa League & VAR

Morning troops.

As we edge closer to the return of the EL on Thursday, both Celtic and Rangers will be involved with VAR for the first time ever.

I'm not sure if anyone watched the Chelsea v Man United game last night but for me that was a clear of example of it working very well apart from one incident.

The one they got wrong, Harry Maguire, it was as clear a red as you'll see, it's mind boggling that it wasn't given, he wasn't even booked

The two Chelsea goals that were ruled out were spot on though and that's the good side of it as in real time, both looked like good goals. Plus it's Chelsea so get it right up them

We are away to Copenhagen on Thursday and it's going to be a bit weird celebrating if we score as you're sheidting it that someone's pubes are offside in the build up to the goal

Rangers at home to Braga on Thursday so it'll be interesting to see how a Scottish crowd reacts to it

As for the games itself, we're pretty much at full strength, only Jozo & EL Hammed are doubts for the game but both could make it as they return to fitness.

If both teams get through this round then we have a chance of meeting each other in the last 16 which would mean 3 Old Firm games in 7 days.....
