City might have a lot in the top 50 but I’d imagine most of those are at the lower end. They don’t spent stupid money on players and I’m pretty sure their wages aren’t too high either. What they’re able to do though is buy quite a lot of £30-50m and build a solid squad, add to that they generally make decent transfers and that’s why they have the strongest squad in the league.

8 out of the 20 players above are £50m +, including 2 for 60m who sit on the bench more often than not. Plus Stones at £50m who can’t get a game for them.

I’m not sure why selling your best players should be viewed as a good thing. We could easily get an entry on there if Sane leaves this summer, but who cares, id much rather he stayed.

Yeah and their wages are as high as could be too.

Think 52 is just being contrarian.

Should also be considered at what point they spent that money, £50 mill for stones then is more like £80-£100 million now. They've spent huge sums and I'm not going to be fooled into believing that just because they've not got a transfer record that they haven't spent huge sums. 👍

Its probable that City hide the agent fees and player bonuses and under table salaries through other areas so EVEN their spend on squad isn't enough of a way to look at their squad.

All you need do is look at an aguero and think hmmm no club like barca or real have ever even tickled the market place. Just what has his agent and him got going that is SO lucrative. his record suggests he should at least be in demand.

Same for de bruyne. His injury will have set him back in thinking but his form is such that he should be the most in demand midfielder in europe.

you really do like the look at me how great I am. Why include TAA and not Foden? 10 years service from David Silva and Aguero. All of those players in the top 50 are still playing regularly at City and are in their prime so really no need to sell them. Otamendi was in fact payment from Sevilla for Negredo whom they bought for 26 million then went into financial problems so we got otamendi. Sane was according to shalke 40 million. So many discrepancies just to prove you are the best. Well done keep up the good work. All very childish.

sorry as for the comment about the bench hasn't anyone realised it is a squad game these days and rotation plays a big part of managers thinking and strategies, The amount of competitions we play in determines the number of games most players get in a season.
