Maguire

I think he's slowly becoming the player we hoped we'd signed. I don't think the backline is totally fixed or comfortable, but Maguire is starting to show he has a very mature and steady [slab]head on his shoulders. Looks so comfortable on the ball compared to some of our CBs and is becoming more and more a leader. Seems to enjoy the extra freedom the 3 man formation is giving him and is now starting to chip in with a few goals.

£80m was ridiculous and always will be, but I think we have one of the CB positions sorted for the foreseeable future.

Very well and impressive? bit of a stretch

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not at all. I was at the game and watched it play out first hand. The Chelsea wide men were forced inside and you had zero width and the fullbacks were pressed the moment they got it. How many times did Azpi lose it having to hit is aimlessly first time cos AWB was on him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was also at the game. Bats missed sitters. We still scored two, one very dubious disallowed goals. And dominated for the most part. Azpi always loses it aimlessly crossing. Nothing to do with Utd
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not talking about his crossing. I'm talking about when he got the ball from your CBs or CM. And you did have a couple of chances but on the whole were really flat and didn't have any space to hurt them.
I'm not saying United are anything special, but their set up without the ball was impressive and on the whole, you didn't have answer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The real game changer for everyone was when Kante came off. Before that Kovacic was bossing they game and causing us loads of issues. When Kante came off Kovacic had to sit back more than before and it hurt Chelsea

Don’t get it twisted, it was one poor game of football. We were poor but still dominated and should have won the game bar dodgy decisions and poor finishing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dodgy decision? Or just decisions you disagree with?

You’d expect Chelsea at home to have more of the ball. I am not a fan of using things like that to say you deserved to win.

United defended fairly well and we’re dangerous in attack.

Who’s to say a team set up to contain and break quickly isn’t deserving of a win? Always been a strange one for me, that.

No dodgy decisions. Willian yellow card. Maguire should have seen red. first girl should have stood.

Very poor decisions. Your clutching with ur last comment too. As a Chelsea fan I’ve seen plenty defensive master classes on the counter.
Utd on Monday was not one of them. Just inept finishing on our part and poor refereeing performance.

The two are not synonymous.

They’re your opinions, not dodgy decisions.

Okay mine and 99% of people’s opinions then. They were dodgy decisions. Even my Utd mates conceded that.,

I have more bad news for you United supporters.

Your beloved football club would actually be 11th in the league without VAR. That's 4 positions lower than your current standing. Sucks huh!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

How does it suck? You really are not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

More irony. It's funny how you label me as the dimwit while you clearly miss point after point. In this case I'll explain (again).
1. The table shows that Liverpool did not benefit the most from VAR
2. The point difference is merely 4 points, meaning that Liverpool would still stand strong without VAR and would likely still not feel any heavy pressure from City.
3. The tables have turned. You gained 4 places WITH VAR. The second highest position difference in the league. There is irony and perhaps some shame.
4. The Livarpool meme is no longer valid and it would be incredible stupid to even use it considering how United and VAR are more buddy-buddy!

Hope you understand now why it sucks for you. Have some coffee before you reply the next time!
