I’ve been one of his biggest critics over the past few seasons - since the turn of the year he has been superb I have to say. No doubt to do with the competition from Williams too.

I like the way he’s also happy to front up when things aren’t going well too. Seems like he is finally maturing a bit, and it’s showing in his performances. Could definitely gatecrash the squad for the euros. He’s looked great in a back three at times too.

Could still do with dropping a few pounds though

The back 3 seems to suit Shaw a lot (Maguire too). His drives into midfield and attack have been good to see, and his all around defending top notch.

Long may it continue.

Yep, been fantastic recently.

Injuries are an issue though. One of a number of players in the squad who you always feel is one game away from a 2 month lay off, and then its back to square one with him.

In fairness other than a bit of lay off early this season he’s been pretty much injury free for the best part of 3 years.

Process oh aye, no doubt, just in these days of athletic looking players Luke does appear to be carrying a few?

He could be 3 stone overweight but as long as he's performing like he is atm I'd be good with that

I always knew Shaw had been injury hit, but I've just checked and he accumulated only 66 appearances in all competitions in 4 seasons; that's 16.5 appearances per season for 4 seasons...That's nothing!

I'm pleased he's playing more regularly now and doing better. No wonder he was the player's player of the season last campaign as he had to overcome so much injury and dents to his confidence to play again.

Very good player playing very well at the moment. Long mat it continue.

I think the emergence of Williams has definitely given Shaw a kick. Good to have that competition there.
