Three Point Two

3.2.

Number of goals per game scored domestically so far in 2020.

17 different players have scored for us so far this season.

A further 3 have also scored v European opposition.

I saw the glory years but don't remember a scoring window like this.

Enjoy bhoys & ghirls.

We never know what's round the corner.

<The reality for 99% of the profession>

Sadly yes.

But when we were last this dominant player aspirations were humbler.

Many of our first 9IAR lads stayed in council houses as did other team's.

Not long before that many players walked to the stadium among the fans

or travelled on public transport to the ground.

You weren'y gonna be evicted if your team was pash.

Aspirations are so much higher now.

So they dig in more.

To be fair, TMQ, it is not just the players of the 60s whose aspirations were humbler.

Players are mirroring society as a whole.

Yup!

Still think there's a grittier approach from lower ranked teams than in

1970 let's say. The fellas of today have more to lose. Rangers is case in

point. Dropped points to 3 Bottom 6 teams so far this year.

Quinny..I agree with all of that. But as a balance...Dundee, Dunfermline, Hibs and Kilmarnock all had great results and runs in Europe in the early/mid sixties. They were good teams with top class managers that were hard to beat.
In 1967, you could have picked a composite team from the non-OF teams that would have given the Lions a run for their money. The quality isn't there nowadays.
Also goes without saying that rangers had a very good side throughout that period with outstanding players.

I too am old and enough to remember the first 9 in a row or at least the last few of it
These are great days indeed to be a Celtic fan
The thing is the holy grail of 10 in a row as its perceived to be need not be the end of it .
The way things are at the moment ,and the fact that Rangers have thrown everything financially at this season and look to have failed miserably whilst spending outwith their means AGAIN! means that there is no reason why we cant continue to dominate for many years to come .10,11,12 ... who knows where it will end?
As TMQ says though you never know whats round the corner.
