It has been mooted, and then roundly ridiculed on these here 606 pages that the owners of Man City who have reacted badly to their UEFA ban, might, if the ban is upheld create their own breakaway governing body and competition.
Pointed out by Post Nearly that as per the thrust of Man City’s argument being they should be allowed to pump as much wealth from Abu Dhabi/UAE as they want to, one of the freedoms of such an organisation would be unrestricted cash injections.
Which means only those teams aligned with the most despotic and autocratic regimes will apply to join.

I just read in the papers that some of the premier league teams are pushing for city to be punished by the pre tier league.
If they do will that mean they will try to create another english league as well

the simple facts are:
a) football is already rules by despots you can try to move in on their territory but they will soon nail you.
b) Uefa are only the local European branch of this maifa style organisation. Again, if you want to trade in europe you have to pay your dues to the godfathers.
c) if you base your new organisation in the middle east and may messi and whoever 2million a week then fine they can all go but they will get fat, lazy and not bothered just like the players who went to china.
Man city owners need to realise that they need to pay their dues just like everyone else.
