Queens Park Rangers 2 - 1 Derby County

Loftus Road
Near the BBC
London

1945

February 25th 2020

See, we can struggle and draw against 3rd from bottom or we can be totally dominant and still only struggle against 3rd from top.

Derby go to London without talismanic midfielder Duane Holmes - pity, he was doing so well - and veteran midfielder Tom Huddlestone.

So, we're playing away which has not been good for the Rams with a rotten away record bettered only by Luton and Barnsley. QPR are on a reasonable run at the moment but don't have Nakhi Well anymore who always seems to haunt us.

Play-offs seem to be a mere dream now - not very realistic but we can still do damage to those above us and remember Wayne Rooney chose us.

What are you on about? At the Edinburgh fringe, that would be a prize winner. No worse than your joke about the definition not being in the OED.

I used to go out with a parachutist who had irritable bowel syndrome. That was until she sh*t on me from a great height.

Wouldn’t take that Bird out again.

Thanks for the info. I am fairly sure that if I were a member there and you walked in, that I would, at the very least, tut a bit. It is possible that the fault here does not lie with the members. My favourite course in that part of the world is probably Formby which also has a Dormy House. Their members are also very friendly. There are very good deals to be had off-season. The year before last I went in March and played Birkdale, Hillside and West Lancs with 2 nights' B&B in Southport. It was only about £250 per person. If I did it again I would choose Birkdale, Formby and Hillside (I don't think you can get Lytham as part of that deal). Hillside is also fabulous. At Birkdale they were all also extremely pleasant and it's a perfectly playable course, not horrendously tough but absolutely classic links (mark the spelling).

Are you asking for the next Vidal inaugural invitational?
I am scheduled to kick 666's considerable butt soon. May be able to slip in an audience with me this year.

If Baz still plays, he can come along and bring that (soon to be) money he will owe, regarding the relative finishing positions of our clubs.
It's also a milestone birthday of mine this year

It’s actually Lincs.
Named for the pitch and putt course in Skegness Lincolnshire.
The first course in the world built on sand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's from the old English hlinc: "rising ground, ridge"and refers to an area of coastal sand dunes and sometimes to open parkland. It can be treated as singular even though it has an "s" at the end and occurs in place names that precede the development of golf, for example Lundin Links, Fife.[2] It also retains this more general meaning in standard Scottish English. Links land is typically characterised by dunes, an undulating surface, and a sandy soil unsuitable for arable farming but which readily supports various indigenous browntop bent and red fescue grasses. Together, the soil and grasses result in the firm turf associated with links courses and the 'running' game. The hard surface typical of the links-style course allows balls to "run" out much farther than on softer turf course after a fairway landing. Often players will land the ball well before the green and allow it to run up onto the green rather than landing it on the green in the more targeted-landing style used on softer surfaces.

There is this thing called 'Wikipedia' it's aces.

I wouldn't necessarily be totally against the idea of possibly considering it at some stage, Strett. I am keen to visit the Hotchkin course at Woodhall Spa this year because it's my favourite course anywhere and they have supposedly made alterations in the last couple of years which have made it even better. That's very near you of course. If you haven't played there it has the deepest bunkers anywhere in the UK. They even have ladders that you climb down to get to the bottom of some of them, and there is little if any hope of ever getting your ball out again (legally). I'm playing at Hollinwell next month which is also a superb course even closer to Nottingham.

I am really happy to see fraternisation between Forest and Derby County supporters. It can only be good. Keep it up you two and may many more fans join you. This is beginning to look like the year of The Dogs. Congratulations.

There is no fraternisation, let’s be clear. It is all about the re-affirmation of the natural order of things.

Fraternising with the enemy could be a capital offence in times of war.
