He probably just needs time. It's not quite a direct comparison, but look how much stick Fred has got from United fans for poor performances, and not being up to it. It's taken a while, but players can come good.

I thought Minamino did alright, had some good movement and interplay but he strikes me as someone who needs that first goal/big moment to kick start his career with us.

Well first off it’s not like he was bought to make a difference to the team this season, so am with you there.

He hasn’t shown anything though. Danny ings was a better player for us.

A lot of that is down to Klopp, at Salzburg he was playing off Haaland, while Klopp plays him in the Firmino role which he doesn’t have the strength or experience to play. Remains to be seen if he has wherewithal to assume those qualities.

Don't really know what he did tonight other than play one good pass. I think you only bought him because his name sounds like a pokemon and you thought he might evolve into a Firmino.
