Billy & Kepa

The two players given a chance yesterday and the both took it with two hands.

Kepa looked alert and switched on at all times which is not something I've always felt and one of the reasons I think he concedes so many. Made some great stops, distribution was good and he came out to deal with danger(even if he punched rater than caught the ball) off the back of that he should come back into the team at the weekend.

Can't say enough about Gilmour, sniffs out danger, mobile, aggressive, calm on the ball, good footballing brain and an eye for a pass. Particularly a forward/progressive pass. At his age and size the performance he put in yesterday was unreal, he could be a huge personality on the field if brought into the team correctly. Him and kovacic has the making of a real partnership for me. With jorginho suspended, kovacic and kante injured he had to start at for me.

As long as it works I don't mind too much I just get very nervous when keepers punch

Can't believe you bastirts took him, first time i've seen more than a few minutes last night and he was mightily impressive.

Straight into the Scotland squad i hope.

The only real question is, who is going to play alongside Gilmour in the middle of midfield with Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho all out. Mount? RLC? We don’t really have another defensive midfield player.

Kova minor injury, positive scan results.
Should be available for Everton.

If Frank decides against starting Kova, alongside Gilmour.

Only other realistic option will be Reece James to reprise midfield role. Mentioned as option by Frank, when there's a shortage...

Kepa
RJ AC Zouma Azpi
Kova Gilmour
Callum (?) Barkley Mount
Tammy (?)

Or

Kepa
Azpi AC Zouma Alonso
RJ Gilmour
Callum Barkley Mount
Tammy

Maybe.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t select the same defence as the one that kept a clean sheet against Liverpool. Lampard has surprised me before though.

Callum aggreviated his hamstring injury. Rotten luck.

Dropping like flies at an alarming rate.

Now on to the positive news...Pulisic provided an update, claims that he is 'super close' to a return.
