FOR THE 1ST TIME

I feel the post match interview, was nothing but blind and lame excuses - no admitting to how bad he got it wrong...or in fact how bad he keeps getting it wrong at home - for the 1st time, I’m left seriously doubting whether our manager actually has the guile and expertise to do the job he needs to do - and I’m beginning to fear for his position

Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"It's a bad feeling and disappointing because the expectation was different. We gave them the possibility to kill us and they killed us. Congratulations to Millwall. Physically it was a big impact from them and and we suffered a lot.

"Mentally when you are physically down you need to play more simple. It was the wrong performance and result. It's a bad moment. We need to refresh and come back in training and find the solution for the next game.

"We have done a good job until now and we must stay together. We were not dangerous. We need to play with more passion. Millwall were better physically, the mentality was more aggressive and they had better determination.

"After eight months maybe some players are a little tired, so we need to think about that."

We seriously need to address these problems, otherwise we can kiss goodbye to the Playoffs and in the process throw away all the good work that’s been achieved so far....and say goodbye to some of our best players come the Summer

Who was that bloke at the end of the match last night?

Back to the thread, this is not all Sabri’s fault, a lot of it is because of some very poor financial decisions of the past, particularly under Fawas, we have no money too spend, like most clubs in the championship, January proves that, hence Sabri is stuck with what he has with little room to manoeuvre. We have been fairly fortunate so far with injuries, but losing Silva and Sow in the same time frame has found us out in midfield. Carvalho was hauled off last night, a decision I found quite baffling, surely Ameobi should have been replaced. Bostock did more than ok when he came on, but with no Carvalho we have zero creativity. Worrall at the back looks tired, on Monday against Gestede he failed to get off the ground to challenge for a header, and for the first goal last night his feet were firmly planted on the ground, there was only Smith in the box and not one of the 3 defenders picked him up, appalling decision making. Samba looked lost under the cross for their second goal, far to easily ‘blocked off’, Smith headed in unchallenged from a yard. Sabri’s problem is there is little strength in depth, and when his full first eleven aren’t available he makes poor decisions regarding their replacements. The play offs are still within reach but I doubt we have the game management to win them, one crumb of comfort, we may be able to get enough points from our away games, because we sure as hell won’t make it via our home games. In summary I think Sabri has done a decent job with what is at his disposal, but will it be enough for the owners?

Unfortunately, probably not

The other pint to make is something untouched on last night

The redevelopment....it depends completely on us gaining promotion

There is no way it will be going ahead if we are playing the likes of Wigan, Charlton and Derby next season...the whole planning debate is a smokescreen to buy us some time to see where we are next season

Unfortunately this is the truth of the matter - there is no way the owners will be shrugging out £100M+ to be playing 2nd tier football

Planning isn’t an issue at all, look at all the other clubs that have been developed and even the buildings around the City Ground that are being redone - NFFC are using the planning excuse purely to see where we are next year - if promotion comes, then the investment will follow, if we fail to go up, then there will be no new investment in redevelopment for at least another year

I think that's rubbish, assuming the planning committee accept it, increased capacity is more important in the Championship that it is in the Prem. They will crack on in June come what may.
