Stolen victory?
If I was Hafi I would say you battered them but were unlucky.
28% possession

Solskjaer has done this many times this season against the bigger teams. He plays good old fashioned counter attack. Cede possession and hit the ball wide and long. At the moment, people accept it - but is was Van Gaal and Mourinho's downfall. The fans will soon realise they are not watching possession based, attacking football.

I couldn't give a flying fack about possession, but I do want to see attacking football.
United showed plenty of attacking yesterday.

It happens, we just weren’t at the races yesterday and United wanted it more.
We’ve scored over 100 goals already in all comps (again) this season though so questioning whether in general it’s possession for possessions sake doesn’t really work, it’s just that it didn’t lead to the attacking opportunities (or stopping them) yesterday.

I agree, but if Man C. can not be pumped up for a game like this then there is a problem. Their game plan yesterday made them look like Arsenal with lots of nice cross-pitch passing but never looked like scoring.
btw: Is anyone going to do anything about Ederson and his erratic play yesterday? Perhaps he needs a permanent seat on the bench for the rest of the season?

it was an incredibly frustrating performance. All possession, taking several touches too many, lacking a decisive edge.
Our game plan yesterday suited United to a tee. They set up as an away team and exploited us superbly. Where we would take two or three minutes to try to build up to an attempt on goal, United would take two or three seconds.
Ederson fully gifted United only what they deserved from that game.
And Zinchenko was awful.

Never want to lose a derby but our play didn't warrant much else. Seen the same players play much better but it is what is is and you have to suck it up. Still a bit to play for this season though despite the league having gone ages ago.

What I'd love to see however would be the raw data on that offside as it was held back a few minutes. Reckon that was moved on a few frames to avoid an officiating nightmare.

The offside was a strange one.
But arguments can be had about quite a few incidents in the game.
Was it a free kick leading up to United’s first goal?
Should United have had a penalty?
Etc etc etc

The red line was clearly showing he was onside until it mysteriously disappeared from the screen.
The goal should have stood but VAR didn't want to add to the embarrasment that is Mike "Look At Me" Dean.

I dont think it would have right being given, dont get me wrong. I think it was doctored to fit the decision to avoid massive controversy. Loads of science in drawing lines but not much on when contact is made with the ball from the player passing it.
It was a penalty too

Not being stup they already know it. But as long as we keep beating you with it they are happy
