Thoughts from Saturday

Been on court all weekend, only saw some highlights Saturdays night.

What a stunning goal from Ayling who has stepped up to the plate with chipping in some goals.

A goal like that must really raise the spirits of everyone.

And how important might that tap in be for Bamford, just when we really need him to see us through this final sequence of games as Augustin and Poveda are not going to be contributing anything of consequence.

Another win and clean sheet for Meslier, if this continues we're up and will Casilla get back in...I don't think Casilla would deviate from the players who are performing.

Really humbling to hear such great words from opposition manager, it makes you realise that we are living in special times, we have to enjoy Bielsa's time here, along with whatever peculiarities it might bring.

The gap can still be eroded but next 2 games really should tell us a lot about our future and right now, with so many teams faltering for form, we really could not be better placed.

I find it weird that almost every comment I see from you, you feel the need to talk about coaching tennis.

Newsflash, nobody cares.

I think people are over complicating by looking at other teams games etc. There's no other team anywhere near as good as we are, I'd be shocked if we lost out now.

But the reality is that if Fulham win Friday and we lose Sunday then our game with them next Weds becomes massive.

No getting away from that! Things can change very quickly.

Spot on. Worst case scenario is we are 1 point ahead of Fulham going into the last 7 games. I think Brentford will hold Fulham to a draw on Friday which would slow them down a bit. We're still pole position though.

What if what if what if, er, we win?..

Amazing the way this team go through a bad patch which they come out of still in second place, and then set a run going that rules them at this time the inform team in this league!..

But people still give the negatives!..

Inform team where 3rd need 3 more wins from 9 and people still give it grief!..

Our massive game next Wednesday is just as massive for them whatever happens!..

It’s not negative to be cautious - especially after last season at this stage.

For the record I think Brentford will take points off Fulham and we will get at least a point at Cardiff.

I could be wrong though

Good thing the majority of fans in the stands seem a lot more positive than those online, eh?

What I see is people not giving us much chance against two teams that ain't doing to well in the dreaded stats table!..

To me, being the team that has won enough games to make us the form team that is a negative!..

You could be wrong, but I could also be wrong, but it has also been pointed out that these teams have harder run ins than us, which must also be a + for us!..

Jonny!.

I see that one of your big Irish fans died at Dublin airport at the weekend on his way home from the game. Sad news.
