Last ten games

OK not very positive after last nights debacle but some suggestions.

Ten games to go 6 at home 4 away, but on paper some hideous games and the way we are playing few points likely.

As much as I like Dean I think he and Terry have no idea at the moment and I would personally take the gamble and risk a new manager bounce if we want to stay in this league.

Four wins and we would have a fighting chance but not definite at all may need five

The other option which I cannot say that I don,t agree with is is keep Deano (Terry will go) see what happens and if we go down (which is more than likely) start playing some of the talent that we already have on the books in the champo.

It may not be what fans want but what we have done recruitment wise hasn't worked and rather than let players leave bed them in even if it takes a few years?

That performance was woeful last night and as bad as I have witnessed in years. It may improve especially with McGinn back possibly.

Reina should be dropped..... defensively we are naive and Luiz and Nakamba are League 1 best at times.

If i was Jack id Feck off asap although it is a real waste.

Gets worse tonight with he news that Drinkwater dropped the nut on Jota in training and his loan may now be terminated .. Seems like there is discontent in the dressing room and this could spell the end for Smith .. Question is who do you get in ? Personally i'd go all out for Benitez who would gain the respect of the players straight away and even if we did go down may give us a chance of coming straight back up. Please not alladyce, pullis, or Pardew !! They would be the kiss of death !!!

Don't think Terry is an issue. The established coaching set-up is Smith, O'Kelly and Cutler. When you see a performance like last night it reeks of that trio, being what it's been doing for years, but in a league where it doesn't work. Terry alone has first hand experience of PL level coaching but I suspect his influence is limited.

In theory we're still in the driving seat and can get out of this, but it feels like Smith & Co have lost the plot. I've backed them up until now but the signals are that they can't do it.

If I was Purslow I'd go out and out everything into getting Poch. Poch wants a return to the PL, there's no good vacancies on the horizon, and our owners have the cash and ambition to put together a very attractive project. He's shown with Southampton he can lift a failing team, that and new manager bounce could well be enough to keep us up. It fits the owners' ambitions. Get him!
