From Final to finished. <flan>

We are in such a massive decline
José
Levy
Dier, Aurier, Lloris, Dele (in general)
So slow and boring to watch, no impetus. Sideways and backwards passing
As a lifelong Spurs fan this saddens me.

Wouldn't be too confident about that, Sandy. Arsenal were in the competition for 20 consecutive seasons, but missed out for the past 3.

How many seasons have Spurs been in it now?

Mourinho put such a silly team on the pitch...... we were never going to beat that lot....and they are not particularly good!
ManCity, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and even Bayern are much better sides. Dunno about Pool!
Who was that last minute addition...Fagan-Wallcott? Never heard of him.
Why no NDombele?
Winks is just not strong enough.
And none of our backs can run...lost every foot race.
And Alli should go back to the MKDons. That seems to be his standard now.
Poor Lucas ...running around getting nowhere...he was the only player I felt sorry for.

In all honesty the best we can hope for now is to get to the end of this horrible season. Get rid of mourinho. He isn’t the man to do what’s needed at spurs with what’s available. He won’t get the funds he requires from levy so he will just stink the place out until he is sacked.

Then go back to hiring a young upcoming manager and start all over again. Give someone 5 years to get us back into champions league. Just get the right man in that wants to play attacking football.

Spurs will be back in the CL in two years.

Absolutely no way!
Not unless ENIC starts to lose money and sells out.

For me the loss in the CL final has destroyed our team mentally. Not just that but we need such a rebuild squad-wise we simply will never have the funds to do it. We will be lucky if we get in 3 players before the start of next season mark my words. I’ll give José a chance for next season but if I’m honest I really can see it being a tough period for us over the next few seasons.

And I think the reason it destroyed them so much as opposed to encouraged them like it did with Liverpool, is because of Levy/ENIC and the fact the players have little faith in them doing what is necessary to get us to the top.

I`d love to listen to the yarns Levy spins to potential new players about ambition, to get them to join, because the ambition never materializes.

I think a lot of our players have simply given up after years of being nearly men, deep down they know their efforts will all be in vain. Add that to a depleted squad and a few hopeless footballers, and you get the mess you see now.

To hear that Levy is going nowhere must be alarm bells ringing for players like Kane. Like us fans they must see a lot of the things that have gone wrong with Spurs have started from the top. Why would any top player with any ambitions of winning stuff want to stay? Or come for that matter.

I do think there's a possibility that this is the end result of several years of hard running under Pochettino taking their toll. It's well known that Pochettino's physical regime was gruelling and several of the players who appear to have lost a couple of yards and/or are declining early are players who were regulars for several years under Pochettino.

And of course Pochettino did call for the big rebuild two years back...

Pool fans should be worried then, because Klopp has their players playing at 100 mph with high octane pressing football.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to affect then which either shows I'm talking boolloocks, or that Spurs have gash medical and coaching staff too

We were in decline before that.
