I finished my Monday by going through a list of everyone still in their probation period and having to cut it in half, and we’re one of the fortunate venues that hasn’t been savagely hit. Meanwhile that spineless pr!ck has just made the mess bigger for thousands of people up and down the country.

Yeah man. It’s a 5hit situation for everyone, you are either the one making the decision or the one the decisions are being made about.

Strikes me that this prioritises the insurance companies, whether intentional or not. Need more info though

To add context, people treated going out for meals/coffees/nights out as a normal every day thing. Spending their disposable incomes in that way of convenience no problem.

If for example people stay away for 2 months or more, it could be habit forming where people looking at the balances end of month (for those working) see the amount saved.

People could reduce their visits in the short term to those establishments by 90% as they become more sufficient / less frivolous.

It really is an absolute hammer blow, and this pr!ck wants to basically have plausible deniability in that he didn't ask anyone to close, it was just common sense.

Deniability = no responsibility to helping the sector where insurance companies will say it wasn't an enforced closure.

You didn't expect anything less from Boris and his chums in the insurance industry? They've been in cahoots for years and when governments start bending over to corporations then we enter the realms of a fascist state. This doesn't surprise me and it's as if they want a sheite show to occur. I dismissed all this a week ago and now the stark reality is we will most likely hit Marshall law with a load of Draconian laws that will classed as temporary until this blows over. However you can your bottom dollar that they won't be repealed afterwards despite the promises.

Ironically, everyone said Brexit would be the end of everything, not looking that way now. We're fecked, feck it!

There’s an initiative called #putitonmytab aimed at keeping cash flow going in small venues where you can pay and then redeem the drinks at a later date when we are through CV19. Definitely worth a look for anyone with such leanings, if you have a favourite little bar I’m sure they will appreciate any support.
