Morning all,
Well, that was dire
Anyway, lots of rumours etc. flying around about what the leagues will announce.
The latest is that both the English and Scottish FA's will announce that league positions are final and current champions and relegation's will stand. It's not great for teams at the bottom but there can be no complaints at the top.
UEFA and FIFA are due to hold a meeting with all it's members tomorrow where they will announce plans for the European competitions and the Euro championships.
I would say it's best to see what comes out of that meeting then individual members can make a decision.
If they can somehow, get games on behind closed doors with radio and streaming updates to fans so they don't go to pubs for it then i'd be happy with that. Obviously that can only apply to Scotland whilst we have 0 confirmed cases in any football clubs but that can change quickly.
Anyway, day 1 of the next 6 weeks of working from home, unsure if this will mean even more time spent on here but there's no flooking football to talk about

Rangers fan getting himself all confused on Friday night, his opinion season should be null and void, ok fine if that's his opinion. It was then put to him that fans would be entitled to a full refund of the season as none of the games counted as anything more than friendlies and that could kill Rangers.
No no no he says, no title or relegation but you still have to hand out the prize pot on league position so Rangers would be better off.

Some people just aren't capable of through thought and the implications of certain actions.
Trying times for all of us.
I genuinely couldn't now give a flying fwck about the title. Nice if we get it but the stick of "tainted" will follow it around forever; plus the fact we can't even celebrate it on a particular day, so to me it'll be just a box tick exercise.
For me regards the football it's the financial implications that we should be concerned about. This notion that Sky/BT can't make a claim to be refunded is nonsense. They entered a contract for a league. A full league. They likely won't get one so they are entitled to claim back the fees.
In so saying I don't think they will but they have far bigger pockets than any of the clubs and/or the SFPL so could theoretically reclaim the lot.
Which then brings us on to the fans. When and what do they claim back? Or at the very least a 25% reduction on next season's season tickets to offset this season?
Any one of those scenarios would see most of our clubs go out of business. And no, the banks won't step in and lend them money. Ridiculous notion.
Far more to worry about in football there than a title.

Sky, BT, Billboard advertising, fans, sponsors, all could conceivably look for remuneration.
Its hard to argue they would not be due it, that is why |I don't see a null & void outcome.
