Essential Workers

Gonna be a tiring few months at least for them , Doctors, Nurses, Care Workers obvs but the rest, Shop Workers, Rail Workers etc trying to keep the Country going while a lot work from home

Looks like my brother could be stuck off shore for a while, 1 week into 3 and folk are already being sent home from the Rig whilst others not allowed to go offshore

I am a rail worker and work on my own so kinda in self isolation anyway, but respect to these people out there who I am guessing would rather work from home and be with their families, but just impossible to do so.

Re the earlier discussions on business insurance, this was on the Beeb earlier ...

Most businesses do not have insurance cover to compensate them for coronavirus losses, a trade body and other experts have said. Small businesses, in particular, are unlikely to have such a policy.
Business interruption cover is generally sold to compensate for damage to premises, following instances such as fire and flood. The Association of British Insurers said standard policies did not include forced closure by the authorities. So, for most businesses, they would not have been entitled to compensation, even if the government had ordered them to close. A spokeswoman for the association said: "Irrespective of whether or not the government order closure of a business, the vast majority of firms won't have purchased cover that will enable them to claim on their insurance to compensate for their business being closed by the coronavirus."

That's shocking BTW, if your insurance doesn't cover THIS situation? Utter cants. Combination of Govt and Insurers need to come up with a plan ... fast.
