I was always getting ill up until about a year ago, got diagnosed with OSA , sleep with an oxygen mask on and the worst I've had lately was an upset stomach.

I've had a head cold, and lost my sense of taste and smell, which are allegedly new symptoms of the virus. I am self isolating for 7 days (started today) as a precaution. Hope no-one i've been in contact with becomes ill.

The two MAIN symptoms (afaik) are a very high fever, well over 100 that is noticable with heat emanating from the torso, chest n back, not just forehead.
The cough is persistent and emanates from the chest not the throat.
These symptoms signify a more serius infection that will probably require medical treatment.

Not exactly. The cough is a persistent dry cough and may start in the threat. Any temperature around 100 is high enough to be significant. If you get either of these then definitely self isolate. You may also feel lousy and have a headache.

Things may improve after 3-4 days. If you start to get very breathless or the symptoms don't improve seek medical help.

you can get them both at the same time.
When you cannot breath anymore its time to go to the hospital.

All good Kitty, the ship docks at Southampton in the morning and there are no cases of Corona on board. P&O have been scrupulously hygienic on board and we all had our temperature's taken before boarding and anyone who had recently been to certain countries was not allowed on the ship.
