This should have happened a lot earlier. I live in a tourist village on the East coast and for days we have been putting up signs on the roads begging tourists to go home but they have poured in not respecting the social distancing rule and not respecting us many of us (like me and my family) self isolating. We have not been able to go out for fresh air because our streets have been full of tourists who dont seem to care. There has been many angry exchanges on social media between locals and the many holiday lets owners who live away in the City and who are still taking bookings and encouraging people to come. Locals have been sworn at by tourists when they have asked them why have they come.Today at last the streets look quieter.
