Claiming a player was overrated is a matter of opinion.

So saying something about Schools is a brain fart? What is this? A cult? Censoring criticism of a player FFS.

He wasn't as good whether you like it or not. If he'd played for Liverpool he would have been unfit to lace Danny Murphy's boots.

Seriously, Scholes wasn't a particularly complete player. He was a terrible (and dirty) tackler (who should have been sent off far more) and didn't even try and compete aerially in the middle of the pitch. Gerrard had his flaws but he could do a bit of everything. You wouldn't see Scholes putting in a shift at right back.
