UEFA President:Season could be completed

At the start of next season, whenever that is.

Agreed, but planning for next season is different from having contingencies though. The suggestion on here is to cancel this season and clubs to start preparing for next season as if it will be a normal season. However, that can't happen at this time because football is suspended at the moment and we don't know until when, and whether or how much next season will be impacted. Kinda hard to prepare for that. For example, I think the uptake of season tickets would be extremely disappointing with everyone needing a bail out.

Basically, cancel this season because of covid and start preparing for the next one inspite of covid? Better to just wait until the war is won.

“ As many have said, the priority is to defeat Covid, not to start planning for next season, which might not even happen. Some strange suggestions on this site”

Yeah football clubs should be getting their best scientists on the job instead of planning for finishing this season/playing next season.

Clubs are multi million pound businesses. All multi million pound businesses will be coming up with contingencies for when this is over.

Most Football Clubs are hand to mouth existences, and even more are in debt they can barely service.

If that is your contention, then you would be in favour of starting football tomorrow with every single match televised, players staying in absolute quarantine and all players tested once a week.

After all if they are hand to mouth as your contend then they can't stay more than a couple of weeks out of action.

You do realise football exists outside of the Premier League. Right?

Well then you will understand how idiotic it is to suggest behind closed doors games and live streaming for all bar the Premier League, and maybe not even all that.

Well done for missing the point.

You said the priority is to defeat Covid19 and not start planning for next season. Tell us what football clubs can do to defeat Covid19?

Football clubs have multi million £ tune overs, like other companies such as BT, British Gas etc. All will be coming up with contingencies for what to do when things return to normal. Why shouldn’t football clubs do the same?

Who mentioned just the premier league? Far as I can see you're the only one mentioning the premier league.

Scarf is all over the place here.

Football clubs are hand to mouth, so let's deprive them of revenue.
Covid is serious so we need to stop football.. but need to restart before next season.

All over the place.. doesn't seriously address either of the isdues.
