Don’t agree I’m afraid.

Their staff, the parents of the children all contribute to the state. They then pay handsomely (after being taxed) for private education which brings serious employment benefits to their surroundings and not only in the school itself but also nearby supporting businesses.

I don’t think they should be able to claim charitable status however.

I agree it should be abolished. Most do to be honest. It wouldn’t have a huge affect on fees and if you can afford to send kids to a private school you will have some disposable to spare.

Unless we have a destroyed economy with millions out of work in a few short months of course and then it’s an entirely different ball game.
