The Prize Money

So now we have the Championship and below finalised (pending any legal challenge) the prize money can be dished out I believe from tomorrow from what I read

£9.3m which represents about 37% of the total of £25m

So does anyone know if the balance of £15.7m has already been paid or are there further payments to be made after this? What is being reported is that this payment is the last to be made out of the total sum.

From that the premier league has the lions share with Celtic getting £1.25m, Rangers £893k down to Hearts with £418k. The premier league will have to wait a bit longer for their money

The interesting part is much further down with teams like Ayr Utd to receive £121k and Partick £65k

Lowest is Brechin with £16k

Is this how bad it is?

If that’s the case and the likelihood of no football income from crowds you have to wonder just who can survive

There’s a much bigger concern here

SPFL PRIZE POT REACHES £25M
PRIZE MONEY OF £25 MILLION WILL BE PAID TO CLUBS FOR SEASON 2018/19...

The SPFL has announced that £25 million in league prize money will be paid to its 42 member clubs this season.

League prize money is paid in addition to parachute payments, UEFA solidarity, Betfred Cup prize and TV money, IRN-BRU Cup prize and travel money, and clubs' match accounts from cup games at neutral venues. Season 2018/19 will see record amounts of Betfred Cup prize and TV money (£2,110,000), IRN-BRU Cup prize money (£428,990) and parachute payments paid to clubs.

In other words...Prize Money
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ridiculous to think otherwise unless it was just trying to insinuate that nobody can be champions of course.

No idea what anyone would want to deny that when it affects them not one jot.

Hey ho. I’m sure nobody would do that. It would just be spiteful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the word 'Prize' appears about 8 times in that short extract alone.

I think it might actually be prize money you know.
----------------------------------------------------------------

It is definitely prize money

Prize money for the titles they were awarded

It’s not Prize money Iv been telling you this

The members of the SPFL get paid this in 4 increments throughout the season it usually amounts to a final payment at the end of the season but it’s not prize money as every club in the leagues get it , some more than others , this is the money that the fraudsters said was impossible to pay out without agreeing to their resolution
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s prize money given by the sponsors ffs

You think the clubs all put money into the SPFL that they all then compete for?

Honestly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t remember saying they did , they all get a cut , therefore it’s not prize money
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’re mental
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ditto

Yes

They get a share of the prize pot. It's all there in black and white and in the public domain. It's titles "SPFL Prize Pot" should you continue to keep on doubting anyone.

As in everyone.

I'm struggling to understand why you struggle with this most basic concept.
