It's funny how the slip is the most iconic moment of Gerrard's career after everything

Nah

Is it not? what else would it be?

Istanbul.

To Liverpool fans. To everyone else its the slip.

I reckon in 20 years people won't remember Gerrard as a great player. They'll remember him as the guy that slipped and cost his team the league title.

I think his most iconic (positive) moment was the goal against West Ham. Screamer. But the vast majority of fans in England will remember the slip, which was made funnier by his earlier speach. Brilliant stuff.

Wahl has really enjoyed this thread and come alive for it. He's like a 5 year old getting ice cream for the first time. You can see the glee in his posts.

Naaah, anyone that remembers the slip will remember the greatest comeback in the history of football as inspired by the mythical hero Stevie G. The greatest football match of all time, taken by by the scruff by Gerrard.

Crystanbul with Dwight Gayle taking it by the scruff and then moving up to scrag the hair of Liverpool.

3-3 with that fake Liverpool fan who called Joe Allen the Welsh Xavi is absolutely hilarious

Crystanbul is symbolic of the rabid nature of this. The league was lost when we lost to Chelsea, we would have needed to beat Palace like 9-0 in order to even have a chance.
