After weeks of people criticising the tardiness of the UK going into Lockdown, there is now increasing pressure on the Government to start lifting restrictions. I have read/heard that 66% still support the current level of Lockdown. I don't know if this figure is based on an official poll or someone has just stuck their finger in the air and plucked the figure from nowhere.
I think people fall into 3 categories:
People who want Lockdown to stay as it is
People who want partial easing
People who want full easing
The middle one is the one that is open to debate imo. If you have kids of school age then I am sure the first thing you want relaxing is school closures. If you don't have kids but are a small business owner, then I suspect you will want your business to be added to the list of essential businesses. If you are neither of these categories, maybe you want pubs and restaurants opened as a priority. As football fans, maybe finishing the season is a priority.
Would be interested to know how the ja community feels about easing Lockdown?

Schools will need at least four weeks to prepare to reopen. The number of questions about how reopening schools will work is dizzying, you cannot social distance in a class with 30+ kids.
Then you have to ensure all nurseries open and to all kids, not just those whose parents are key workers. Many nurseries are only accepting kids whose parents are both ‘key workers’, so how can one parent work at home and look after kid whilst the other has to go to teach in a high risk environment.
This is just, albeit one of the most important, sectors that will require answers fir how it will work... you cannot just right things need to get going, everyone back in.

So how is Coming out of Lockdown going in your locality. Up here in Lancashire, the roads are still very quiet. We still have the usual suspects not giving a damn. But overall it looks exactly the same as it did in first couple of weeks of lockdown 😊

Kids do get the COVID-19 and it affects every organ in their bodies.

We need to start getting on with our lives. This virus will die away. I doubt people will be able to live like this for up to 18 months.
