Reconstruction

Budgies reconstruction gang are going to propose three leagues of 14.

Gers not supporting though as they want four divisions with colt teams in the bottom tier.

Gers were voted least likely spfl team to play a yoot mate..

Yeah, forgot, youths in the 1st team squad are not capable of playing in the 1st team

I'm not saying Frimpong is some messiah but there are other boys his age and stage well able to come in and contribute. Where it all might fall down is nominating players to play in any colts team and whether that passes up the ability to call on them for the 1st team. Anyway, pie in the sky.

FFS, there's been another one

In fairness he was likely just wanting his hole which is an essential need in my book but rules is rules. He is no different to the millions of ordinary Joes that are doing the very same. Yes, I am convinced there are as many as that flouting the rules.

If one was of a cynical nature one could suggest it was a case of “look at me”.

I firmly believe in our NHS and it has been in desperate need of proper funding for decades or at least supported by an obligatory basic insurance scheme everyone has to pay for.

But there were an awful lot of things wrong in the NHS other than funds. Middle and senior management wouldn’t be tolerated in any other profession as it is in the NHS and their logistics and planning have always been atrocious. These issues will need addressing after all this is over too.

Now we see Michael Ball making a unnecessary journey to visit major tom.

And apparently the resumption of sport is ‘critical for the spirit of the nation’? Except for viewers in Scotland where we just want to bin it - how Scottish!

Nail in head with that last para, Ginger. The level of sheer incompetence throughout NHS management is utterly staggering, but rarely talked about. No one ever gets sacked, no matter how useless ... just moved sideways, or promoted! It’s a monumental problem that’s every bit as bad as the clear under-funding issue. Frontline NHS staff are by and large superb (albeit the percentage of nursing staff who are obese is bizarre), but huge swathes of management are a massively expensive overhead who contribute fook all.

I had some direct dealings with the NHS in my previous job.

I was quite astounded at what I encountered to be honest. I had previously worked in industry and it was a pretty jaw dropping contrast to then work with reasonably senior NHS staff in pretty responsible positions and see how inefficient and ineffective the majority of them were.

In the unit I worked in there was a culture of taking grievances out against each other - mostly for accusations of bullying.

Seems like every time a manager or director pushed their staff to be more productive it resulted in a grievance. That in turn made it very difficult to get rid of someone for not performing in their role.

It was pretty incredible.

I work in the public sector Managers do anything to avoid decisions leading to changes. Junior staff now join with Degrees and new ideas and try to shake up what are turgid and outdated processes.

All the old heads are unwilling to take on these new ways of working and modernise along with the private sectors so our services fall further and further behind. Some stay for 3-4 years to gain experience then out the door they go to better pay and conditions.

The older staff stay put and are rewarded with early retirement and leaving packages after 30+ years service. Every Local Authority needs to stop this money wasting practice and actively employ more youth to implement the changes needed to make services run like an efficient profit driven business.

Local Authorities have been raided every year since 2008 to meet Government Lead Austerity Cuts. This has systematically prevented all services meeting their minimum standards and needing to redefining what's acceptable.
