Things you've learned from lockdown

There's been a lot of time for introspection.

Anyone had any epiphanies? Any habits they dropped or picked up?

Personally;

1) Yoga - love it and has done wonders for my creamy hamstrings and back

2) Sugar and processed food - frustratingly I've developed IBS in my old age. I love cooking anyway but work often gets in the way and you end up eating rubbish. Even supermarket sandwiches are bad for you and the way animals are treated to make them is a disgrace. I've always had a good diet but cutting out sugar and processed food has completely cleared it up.

3) Work - I don't think I'm ever going to work really hard again! Ive had a job since I was twelve and have always put the hours in. I don't particularly need to but I like nice things mainly clothes, booze and drugs. I'm not going to work really hard ever again if I can help it and although I don't really have material things (there's no wide screen plasma or apple pods here) I am no longer going to sell my time as much.

What about yous? Any positives?

I learnt people poo far more than I do. Either that or there’s more single people than expected.

If you were born in Britain, you're British by your rules. Don't become what you hate.

Yes it was parody. Bloody hell

When certain Americans talk about the old country do they actually mean the new country then?

I do find it a weird gripe to have against them though.

There are so many things you could have chosen: lack of social security, gun laws, war mongering, nationalist culture, The US Inbetweeners etc.

Yet you go with pride in their family's cultural heritage.

Yeah well I cant tell if 4zA is a fat, gun toting facist in an over sized car so I went with that.

I hoped it was, but it is impossible to tell on a forum.

What have I learnt ?

A small but quite significant minority of people are either stupid, ignorant or selfish.

Cycling is a fantastic form of exercise.

Money isn't everything.

Keep Alert is very easy for me to understand.

I will never use public transport again.

Sport really isn't as important to me as I thought it was.
