Ghost chilli

Have any of you lot ever tried one? I‘ve watched people on YouTube trying them. Some throw up, are in pure agony and I just think..... why?!

I've eaten a ghost chilli. The body of the pepper is fierce but actually pretty tasty almost sweet, if you munch the seeds to polish off the full pepper.... it pretty much saturated my tolerance for heat.

I use naga(God Slayer) extract at least once a weak to add heat to my cooking. It adds an even warmth to a curry or fajitas without being vinegary, the gradual build of the naga heat is pleasant too. The CR and the Trinidad Scorpion, just arent as nice.

For a free pouring hot sauce, serrano is absolutely astounding. Same heat as Tabasco but the flavour is unrivalled.

Naga is the one! All the heat while still sweet.

Yup, they're pain and insanity in an edible form.

I've also tried the carolina reaper and they are even worse.

Hungry Horse pub chain used to have a Hot, Hot, Hot sauce to put on your chicken, steaks etc.

It really was mind blowingly hot. I asked what chillies were used to make it, I was told it was Ghost Chilli.

I have also had Trinidad Scorpion & Carolina Reaper sauce bought for me in the past.

I used a little too much scorpion sauce onece and was blind for over an hour.

peoepl only do it to prove their manhood. mostly peopel with extremely tiny.. well you know whats.

Its a yank thing mostly.

Over here it's curry, and frankly the curries produced in the uk wouldn't be eaten in india.

I got a nice vindaloo in germany, very mild. I had on in the USA too. We drove 2 hours to find the indian resturant. Bit hotter than the mild german but still fine.

Try that in the UK, where its "manly" you don't have taste, so its a bit pointless.

Once you start using extract based sauces in cooking, you can render something utterly inedible with less than half a teaspoon of sauce. There is no human alive manly enough to enjoy something inedibly hot.

People are savages when it comes to food in this country
Burgers and hot dogs in pizza crust
Doner meat on pizzas
Chips as a pizza topping
And basically ruining the flavour of any meal by dousing it in the hottest/spiciest sauce imaginable

I totally agree.

If you cannot taste the underlying flavours because of the spiciness/hotness of the sauce then you need to cut down on the amount of sauce or use a less potent one.

Some of the most potent extracts are specially designed for the catering industry where ONE single drop from an eye dropper is enough to make a 50 litre pot of very hot but still very tasty chilli.

Anybody who uses those extracts in the home is asking for trouble.

Look I "look down" on the US in terms of food cos they do some awful things and everything is fake cheese but the french must look at us like we are pigs in muck. no wonder they always look like they are arrogant to us.
