Ginger, 2 weeks will save more lives, unfortunately many businesses are fooked regardless, 2 weeks wont make much odds for them but it may save 1000s of lifes. I am not a huge fan of the SNP, but I am a patriot and I think she is doing well regardless of her political opinion or stance, I think down south a bumbling idiot who cannot even communicate the same message as his cabinet is making decisions that are and will kill people. Money and power will decide the city of London's exit plan and if more die they wont give two fooks.

Isn't Sturgeon today talking about implementing pretty much the same type of lockdown easing as down South, but by the end of May? So, given that Scotland is about 2-3 weeks behind London on the curve, isn't her approach in fact pretty similar to Bojo's? Or am I missing something here?

It's looking like it'll be similar, but without the chaos of the schools.

Only 5th and 6th years will see the inside of a school anytime soon.

Going forward is going to be a nightmare for whoever has to decide how education will continue from next term.. do kids have staggered lessons? How do you social distance in a small room with 30+ kids? Transport.. how many more buses will be needed if attendance numbers are similar to regular term time? What about those contracts.. will firms demand more money from schools for supplying more buses?

Gonna be a total ballache figuring all of that out. Not to mention the level of education will likely suffer given that kids will find it harder to concentrate and teachers potentially having to self isolate for a week at a time if this super duper app (that hasn't even been fully developed yet) is in use and telling them they've been in close contact with someone showing Covid signs.

Being lower management has its perks at times 😂

Cheesy<The sensible thing to do is to lockdown the elderly and anyone overweight. The rest can go about life as normal.>

Tell that to my long time friend & colleague's family.

She was taken by Covid 4 weeks ago yesterday morning.

Early 40's, perfect health & BMI, non smoker, non drinker, fit as fek.

Magnum aye we're all still trying to take it in.

She worked with me outdoors with young folk.

Christ knows what state the family are in.

Had to just watch a stream of the funeral only 8 attendees.

On a brighter note most folk will not know a victim when this is over

Aye an old school mate's dad died a few weeks back with it.

Mid 50's.

Granted he wasn't exactly match fit but he had no underlying health conditions. This disease doesn't discriminate.. it appears to overwhelm immune systems.

I have a horrible feeling that complacency is going to kick in over the summer and we'll be hit with a much more virulent strain.. one that will be more aggressive and will cause more complications.

Here's hoping it goes the other way and fizzles out
