Championship clubs will begin testing their players for coronavirus on Thursday and Friday ahead of a potential return to training next Monday.

Although recent advice recommended players are tested once a week, it is thought Championship clubs will follow the Premier League's decision to test their players twice a week.

Test results will be analysed within 24 hours and Sky Sports News understands those test results will not be made public.

Is it the case that positive tests will be made public but the individual names will not be released ?

I'd imagine.

I'm sure it will be overall results too.

So for example if we returned a positive test result and Blackburn returned one instead of the league saying these two teams had positive test results they would just say the league returned 2 positive test results.

Although that said I'd imagine any positive test result wont stay secret for very long.

It's interesting that clubs have been asked for a list of players who will require testing.

I wonder if any are refusing to play in the circumstances?

It would be interesting to see if any players don't appear for the final games and how the fans react to that.

I've said before that footy players should look at front line workers and feel ashamed if they don't want to play with all the protections they will have, but when it comes down to it I'm sure there will be some genuine cases where a player is still living with parents or has a child who is 'at risk' and doesn't want to risk taking the virus back to them.

I think we may all need to avoid knee-jerk reactions to absent players as the games begin.

I think they should just promote Leeds United.
