In About 30 Minutes

53 years ago the Celtic players climbed the stairs to pitchside.

Happy Lisbon Day lads and lasses.

I blagged a ticket from SFA headquarters before they went on sale. Packed in my job with Caterpillar and hitched to Milan. Met a crowd of Man City supporters on the Dover Calais ferry on their way Vienna to see their team play Gornik Zagreb in the last ever Fair City's Cup Final. Was (easily) persuaded to go with them, they won, we went daft and I spent a lot /most of my money. Hitched down to Milan met an Israeli lassie looking for a bed and I foolishly got both of us a room in a hotel thinking she might be 'grateful'. She wasn't and I was now almost skint. Gave away my ticket and hitched back home via Grenoble, got a lift over the Channel in a yacht and hitched home from south of England.
Ended up watching the match in ma ain house.

Disliked Iraelis ever since.

What was the name of your left fullback who scored. He looked a player and fullbacks didn't score then.

Thanks for posting it Mighty. I haven't thought about ma wee adventures when I was a kid of 17 for years.
I am destined never to see Celtic in a European cup final I bought six tickets for the Seville final before we played I in the quarter final, much to the vast amusementof all the Bears in the local. When we qualified me and the mates had all the flights and hotels booked. Everything. I was working on a really important multi million project at the time, a real problem arose and I couldn't go. The mates has a ball and I watched in the local.
