It was beautiful
Mario Basler orchestrating the Bayern crowd from the touchline, fast forward a few minutes then we have Lothar Matthaus in absolute disbelief pitchside with his boots off, so many memories, Sammi Kuffour in hysterics crying like a newborn baby

Was it Scholl that hit the bar in that game as well.

One of those very rare games where you catch yourself on mid jump when your rival scores. I remember being in shock after the 2005 final and can imagine that's how United fans felt in 99.

On 24 May 1999 I flew to Tasmania, Australia to start a 9 month contract. At 6:45am on 27th I was sat in my hotel room watching the game as the 90 minutes came up. United losing 1 - 0, and me 10,500 miles away from my girlfriend. Pretty depressed! Then it happened. Talk about mood change. WOW !!

Incredibly successful season. I was on holiday in ibiza (as a 9 year old rather than a party goer) and saw all 3 trophy games on the television there. As a young Liverpool fan I wasn't too pleased with the result.
Trebles seem to be becoming a little more common (only 1 that I am aware of prior to 1998 and 3 in 22 years since) so I wonder if we will see someone win the big treble again (or even quadruple) any time soon.

Watched it in a bar - Kitty O'Shea's - in downtown Chicago with about 300-400 Brits all over there for a conference, fantastic afternoon, all rivalries put aside for that one game.
Awesome atmosphere!
