The rights in USA wouldn't look out of place if news reported it as civil war. Obviously with pandemic tensions were always going to be higher than usual.
But one thing that's annoying and not at all surprising is the lack of of non black people speaking out. Black people will always speak out against this type of injustice, but it will actually not stop until non blacks also start taking action.
A good example is the amount of people in Hollywood who will speak out against LGBT abuse or advocating for their rights, even if they are not actually part of that group. This has no doubt played a part in making sure that group is now well represented and the people belonging to that group get the roles in higher positions. Yet I don't see many of these same people speak out against racism. Everyone can draw there own conclusions as to why, but a lot of these famous people become silent on issues which have been just as real 400+ years ago as they are today.
It's the same in this country, if we take PL for example. Majority of players speaking out are black, yet we need to get everyone involved. Not speaking out because it doesn't affect yourself is a privilege which many don't acknowledge. Racism in football in this country is getting worse each season.

Ah well that’s a different thing entirely. Whether we like it or not, most people’s lives are influenced by the mass media. That’s why we’ll all be bombarded by a certain news story that’ll last a few weeks, sometimes months, until we’re all utterly fatigued from hearing about it, and then that’ll be it. you’ll not hear about ever again. And then one day you’ll be having a coffee and it’ll suddenly pop into your head and you’ll think to yourself... ‘whatever happened to/about [insert subject here]’.
So if you want to blame anyone for not keeping this issue out there for discussion, blame the rich white guys that control the mass media. Think you’ll find most ordinary white folk hate them too though tbh.

Looks like you’ve already moved the goalposts, lots of people have been vocal over the years, I’m an nba fan and several of the white players have etc. Just because you don’t hear about it does not mean it’s true.
