Sky deal

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52903945

Scottish Premiership clubs will be able to live stream matches and sell virtual season tickets after a deal was struck with Sky Sports.

The SPFL has also reached a settlement with Sky - believed to be £1.5m over five years - for games not broadcast when the 2019-20 season was curtailed.

The top-flight campaign is scheduled to start on 1 August behind closed doors.

Sky's £160m five-year deal allows it to show 48 games each season, but all other matches can be streamed by clubs.

Each team will be able to sell a package to season-ticket holders enabling them to watch home games.

It remains unclear if clubs will be able to sell one-off matches and what provision is in place for fans without season tickets or for watching away games.

However, in a statement, Aberdeen say they "will continue to work with our colleagues at fellow Premiership clubs to explore potential arrangements to show away games".

The agreement will last as long as social distancing measures are in place, with Pittodrie chairman Dave Cormack saying they are "preparing, and hoping, to return with partial crowds from November or December and full crowds in January 2021".

SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster added: "This is an innovative and pragmatic solution to the challenges posed by Covid-19 and I'm grateful for the flexibility shown by our clubs and by Sky Sports.

"This agreement means that any liability for games not delivered during season 2019-20 has now been settled, on terms that reflect Sky's status as a committed partner and supporter of Scottish football."

The Scottish Football Association will lift football's suspension on 11 June, allowing clubs to resume non-contact group training.

FFS Duke, even the EPL struggle to bring in >£3m a game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
full house so 2 mill
+
TV
Sponsorship
Advertising
Hospitality
Catering
Programme

Cant be far off 3 mill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, last year it was 40,440 tickets to the clubs at £30-35. Concessions £20 & 10. Lets call the average £30 so £1.2m.

Rest go to sponsors, blazers, member clubs, players, officials, partner companies though the bulk will be hospitality and maybe assume £50 for the match ticket portion at say 6k seats? £0.3m?

TV deal was £3.33m per season covering every single game in the cup. Not sure how much of that would be allocated for the final? Maybe £0.4m?

The sponsorship pays the prize money. It is reported as £60k for the winners - haud me back. Runners up get £30k Call that £0.1m.

Catering - is that not subcontracted?

Trackside - ?

Most of these numbers are public domain albeit I've guessed at some of the assumptions. Still hard to see where £3m is coming from.

The 3 mill was in relation to the international match
Could be on the high side right enough
10 mill was the cup 3 games again possibly high

The SFA have income normally around 32 million
29% is via the Scottish cup mostly the semi’s, and internationals
4 games as such being delayed or cancelled is a big dent in the season income whatever the actual Income was budgeted at

They distribute between 10 and 12 mill to member clubs and associations including grass roots

Perhaps very minor at the top but could be significant at lower levels

Just another example of the impact the current situation creates

Getting plenty golf in now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As you say all in the public domain

2 games a week is the plan

Getting booked is always a problem but we move from 12 to 10 min tees which will help from next week
The weather deteriorating will also help

In this day and age a virtual season ticket is long overdue.

In 20 years time it will be the norm.

However, we already have virtual fans on here

Hang on

So we buy the season ticket and we get to watch it on tv? Meanwhile they save on practically everything match day?

I hope it's a far better deal than that.

For hospitality guests they'll send you a McD's voucher anaw
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I missed the call from them the other day to discuss my "options" whatever they are. Tried calling back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FFS mate, the amount you are paying you should have your own 'relationship manager' much like private banking?

Mind you, haven't spoken to mine in about 10 years. Cants keep trying to sell me products I neither need nor want. Ask them difficult questions you already know the answers to and they are prepared to lie to make a sale. Cvnts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not bad. Here they sign you up for them without asking. my$50.00 hasn't grown at all.
