Adam Pope has said on twitter that The club will not comment on a newspaper report that at least one of our players has tested positive for Covid.
Doing the rounds is that it is a youth player. If so then that wouldn't be a problem for us as the first team has not been in an contact with the youth squad. Fingers crossed its not a first team player. Wish them all the best if they have contracted it.
Someone commented that its very unlikely that it would be Kiko as he can't catch a thing.

Why would they test youth players not involved in the squad?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe incase we have to call one up if we get an influx of Injuries?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They would be training with the first team then, wouldn't they? No youth football, so no need to be at the training ground otherwise.

I couldn't tell you, only reporting what i have read.

Also of he had symptoms he would go get tested, regardless of the football leagues or clubs testing regime

The 5 sub rule will hinder us.
1. We wear teams down with high energy and fast football, teams will have 2 extra fresh pairs of legs to hold us off, we struggle to break down stubborn teams with 3 subs yet alone 5.
2. We have the weakest bench in the league due to injury prone players and under recruitment so we can't really bring on many senior players.

Generally it seems the players getting tested positive are asymptomatic

Bielsa won't use the five subs anyway. He will continue to use his two subs to bring on Alioski and then one of Augustin or Shackleton

I can't see many using 5 subs! It won't hinder us at all. How many teams in the championship will have 5 players waiting to come on to make a positive difference? If anything, using that many players would have a negative impact against us when we are so organised.

Harrogate, I was about to take the p 1ss about your stadium build and not being able to fill it during these times - but realised, actually, Spurs built a massive stadium recently and can't use it.. you wonder when they will be able to use it.. can't see it for a maybe a year or longer.
mad times
