CIES Football Observatory at it again

They have come out with a list of the most valuable players in Europe. The top 5 looks like this.

£230m - Mbappe
£173m - Sterling
£159m - Sancho
£152m - TAA
£136m - Rashford

Naysayers should take a look at figure 2b in the link below, which shows the correlation between their predicted player values for specific purchasing clubs and actual transfer fees paid.

That is why they’re paid a fortune by the likes of City, Chelsea and Benfica for consultancy.

Agree with the OP - Rashford is clearly worth more than Mbappe.

Ridiculous valuations.

"CIES uses a number of variables to work out player values, including age, performance and economic factors."

Richarlison is also valued at 87m

Higher than Dybala, Lewandowski, Coman, Bale, Havertz and many more
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dybala and Havertz are into the last two years of their contracts. As is Bale, who is 30 years old, is on astronomical wages, and has had serious injury problems. Lewandowski is about to turn 32 and has no resale value.

It really isn’t that difficult.

Ignoring the fact that Richarlison is craap though

I quite like Richarlison. Great skill set.

He'll be perfect as that alternative option for our front 3.

Nah he's got great tekkers, two footed, can play across the front three, lead the line and is strong in the air. Just turned 23, a better than one in three strike rate in the Prem and a full Brazilian international.

He's streaky, so needs to add consistency but he's got a lot in his locker.

when bothered he's quite a filthy player. Just like B.silva at city. really nasty sorts that any team would love to have playing for them.

He just hasn't had the team about him to bring him on as a young player and build that professional desire enough. Maybe anchelotti can help him with it.

He has all the attributes to be top class.
