Contract Extension for Lallana

The club have confirmed a short term extension for Lallana till the end of the season. Great news, he's been a good player for us and more than deserves to finish out the season as a red and hopefully get that league title medal.

Plenty of clubs will be in for him on a free I'd imagine.

Also another nail (if one was needed) for the Null and Void boys, some had stated that this was impossible and therefore NULL and VOID.

It’s comments like this that prove the true agenda of Liverpool fans over the past 3 months.

I, personally, was one of those who thought there was no other option but to void the season. Of course that was on the basis that footballer wasn’t going to be played again this year which is what many suspected when the lockdown was put in place.

Obviously if it’s been decided it’s safe for football to return then nobody can really argue the season should be voided

I'd say it's comments like this which prove the agenda of rival fans, whereby UEFA and the FA stated that contracts can be renewed but people refused to accept it. I'm not sure what the agenda was from Liverpool fans when they simply followed what UEFA and the FA had stated, whilst others ignored it and repeatedly showed their shock in how the season can be completed despite contracts coming to an end.

I agree.

these people just desperately want null and void to go on the wind up while ignoring the massive impact on their own clubs in terms of finances.

The authorities have already given their ruling that it will be curtailed not null and void which only makes their desperate whinging even more funny.

they cling to the dutch solution in thier hope to see Liverpool not get a title.

while they are rocking in the corner and whining about no fans = no football and they'll never support it etc more mature people can see the impact on all the clubs up and down the leagues if a solution is not come to quickly.

If these people were around in 1940 they'd have been the equivalent of vichy french.

Back to the topic- I think this pretty much confirms Lallana is going at the end of the season, as he would have been offered a longer contract otherwise.

The ture agenda? Arguing that players would be able to make short term contract extensions beyond June is an agenda?

Yeah certainly looks that way, I think it was always the intention that he'd see out the contract then move. As robbing says Leicester looks like a good fit under a manager who rates him highly.

Nice to see the club giving a good gesture to a player who has been very loyal to the club even though he's had difficult times with injuries. He'd be an asset to most clubs in the league I'd imagine.

With the whole null and void contract issue, I would have liked to see Fifa say you are not allowed to sign for another club while the competition you would have played in is still going. If players didn't want to sign a new contract then fine but they will be unemployed until that team is finished.

I don't think anyone said it was impossible. The issue people were talking about of players contracts ending June 30th has been highlighted at Charlton, who will have to complete their season without 3 key players and no option to replace them in the squad.

This is true anyway. They moved the transfer window, so they could have only signed a pre-contract, which is what they could have done in the final few months anyhow.

Lallana played his part in winning the PL so its only right he was around for the trophy. Will probably get some more minutes with the quick games turnaround.
