Staycation

Looks like mid July rural Scotland will be open for business.

Got a week booked in Ardnamurchan late July a remote isolated lodge.

Still not sure what to do about it as it involves 3 households.

Anyone else already booked in Scotland or thinking about it?

All the auld boy pubs in the WE. This won’t surprise anybody but I frequented all the same places since I was a teenager. Never had much desire for glitz and music pumping out all night.

Arlington, Doublet, Lismore, Tennents, Judges, Bon, Maltman, Dram, Aragon and others?

my weekend pub crawl walk.
Miss the charity shops and the crawl

Auld boys counting out their pension money for their haufs with all the care of a Colditz headcount

My pal used to work night shift in Glasgow and frequented all of those pubs at the crack of dawn as apparently they can sell drink before 10am so long as you order a bacon roll with it 😂

8am licence.
Iron horse, empire bar (lost it now) and Alfredo's. None in West end.

Green King

"There will be new one-in-one-out red and green indicators at the entrances to the toilets so customers can flip the indicator with their elbow as they enter and exit, with toilets cleaned every 15 minutes."

Lavvies will be cleaned more in the next month than in the last 15 year!

Lauders<What's the other 4? Imperial I presume?>

Imperial #1 for me mainly on account of the company.

Not in order of preference but the 3 Judges, Horsehoe, Tennents.

I'm in other pubs more often tho.

I enjoy a quiet & lone lunch / early pm pint when I can.

Almost always in Partick for the train and in Bear pubs.

They're well run and zero chance of getting caught up in a session.

As no kvnt knows me.

That was a joyous encounter.

My wee brother still refers to it.

Seems like years ago but it was early March.
