In my view, Jonty is a decent poster and a decent human being. It would be our loss if he decides he has had enough. Some of our posters are not dealing with the pressures of running a business and looking after a family, and it's easy for them to take shots at those of us who are. All I am asking is that we show a little more compassion towards each other. There will be plenty of time for getting stuck into each other in the next few weeks - let's keep it clean and fair.

Totally agree. Had to stop the bulk of my business to keep my missus and her parents safe. Have paid myself just £240 in the last three months to keep the business alive.

It can't really resume until the virus risk has dropped back down to February levels and even then it will depend on the customers wanting me to invade their houses.

It's stress, stress, stress, but I'll get by. I have to say that most of stress is coming from the missus getting me to do every odd-job and chore I've managed to swerve for the last decade!!

Will Leeds' final push also push my blood pressure up to the point where my head explodes? More than likely - we never do things the easy way.

Agree maybe he needs a break for a serious reason, and hope his health and family are fine. If he reads all this, he will be very happy about how much he is missed - But .tbh I don't miss his posts, never liked them, always too negative and pessimistic. Sorry to be blunt.

Jonty posts many valauble threads about remembering past Leeds events that we should not forget, and our older Leeds star players when they appear in the news.. He is a passionate Leeds fan and wants the same success we all do. He also covers things, especially recently, that appear negative about football. But I think you will find the football world is full of similar dire predictions about the future and the economics of the football mad house. Who knows what the next season will look like with a lot of clubs facing an uncertain future.
As for being negative there are non more negative than those who jump in with comments that are not constructive.
Jonty has obviously had lot of low blows over the past months during the effect of this covid19. The last thing we all need is for the same from Leeds United fans.

Very well put Dave.

As I said in my earlier post on the thread in life in general you find that people who question things and events and authority/mainstream media agendas narratives at times who raise uncomfortable issues and are often shot down as the messenger simply for asking the question. Some of the bad sentiment directed at Jonty on this football thread and in the past when he has questioned things remind me of that.

It is sad because hearing all sides and all the information out there on issues including Leeds United makes for a healthier debate instead of an echo chamber with people applauding everything the club does.

There is an unhealthy amount of censorship and deplatforming of such debate out there at the moment and a nanny tech state who deem what you can see and listen to and what you cannot. You merely ask a question and your a 'conspiracy theorist' which is parotted out at every opportunity to shut down and try remove people's credibility regardless of the merit of their argument.

Not necessarily football related but this constant labelling and lack of freedom of speech is a very worrying trend in my opinion in a so called free society

I'm sorry but no. Jonty has the right to free speech, absolutely, so do the people who disagree with him. He's the one who limits activity on the Leeds board by filtering people for little more than disagreeing with him and saying (quite rightly) that he has too negative a stance on things.

I hope the guy is okay, and that his family is safe, and that his business keeps going when all this is done, but I'm not going to pretend that Jonty is the white knight of these boards, pioneering a viewpoint that should be ascribed to, when he is the person that dismisses people that disagree with him.

The guy might be a passionate Leeds fan, I don't know him personally. He's hardly the saviour of the Leeds United board, though.
